Zebra ZT510 Printer Calibration

  1. Navigate to “Tools” and select “Media/Ribbon Cal”

  2. The printer will prompt you to unload the ribbon and load label backing. To do this, just remove the ribbon like you would when changing it. Then peel off 1 or 2 labels leaving just the semi-transparent backing.

  3. Line up the label backing about halfway out of the printer then close the printhead. (There should be no ribbon in the printer at this time)

  4. Press the “Pause” button on the printer and it will begin calibrating.

  5. Once calibration is successful, lift the printhead and reload all materials then close the printhead.

  6. Press “Pause” once again and the printer should be properly calibrated.

If the printer says “Calibration Failed” at any time, just retry steps 2 and 3.
